Say what you will about TN, but I can't figure out why anyone thinks Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, or Miss St. will be any better much less significantly better. And why do people seem so sure either Eli Drinkwitz or Sam Pittman are good head coaches? They may be, but they both have proven little. This is the time of year where I am tired of the made up "analysis" and am ready for some helmets to start popping.

bc its low hanging fruit to sh*t on UT right now esp for these types of guys who cant name 15 players on our team. And they only like Eli Drinkwitz bc of his personality.

I don't know what the heck he is looking at, but the cupboard isn't exactly bare here at Tennessee. We certainly aren't the most talented in the SEC, but Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Miss State aren't full of blue chippers by any stretch of the imagination.

i would love to ask him what he loves so much about Ole Miss' defenseive talent level. They belong like 125 out of 130.

I agree. I will say idk how well our current talent will mesh with Heupel’s system but admittedly I’m not that well read on his system.

You really think we're closer to Bama than Vandy?
Yes I do if you talking about pure talent. But when you talk about coaching then we may be at the bottom till proven otherwise. It’s no accident that we had players. Transfers to title contenders and are starting very first year in a new system. Talent is there just s matter of find a coach.

This is the same ole narrative that we lost too much to the portal. My position on that is we got a lot in return and in some cases the losses weren't that significant compared to what we have returning. Quarterback and Running Back are prime examples. The offensive lineman that we lost, in my opinion were not that productive to begin with. They might have been if coached better and might have been good with the new coaching staff. But I know they weren't that good when they left. I think we did lose some talent at LB, but again our defense was so awful it is hard to seem that it can't be better without them.

A lot of what we lost in the portal I think has no real impact on us this year. We have better talent than State, Arkansas, Mizzo, and Kentucky.
