I was surprised to see that we are still a 6 seed, if we are able to go 5-1 or win out and win the east and then hopefully atleast make the SEC Tourney Championship game, it would seem we could get up around a 4 seed or so. It looks like we would draw Clemson in the 2nd round probably which would be an intriguing game. After UT i am a fan of Clemson, just because of the fact one of my friends from middle school starts for Clemson so i enjoy watching him(Terrence Oglesby)but anyways. I would be very happy with the 6 seed were at but i defenitely think we can increase it. And considering the way that people have been writing this team off and saying NIT Bound i cant complain with were we are projected as of right now. :crazy:

I don't see the NIT in our future. We're leading the conference. While the SEC sucks this year in bball, that has to say something.

I havent though we were NIT Bound once this year, i have thought all along that were defenitely one of the 65 best teams in the country. There are alot of people on here though that had been promising this team was going to the NIT and wouldnt make the Tourney. Im not really sure were they all are now though, they seem to have dissapeard. Funny how that works.

I think our strength of schedule has a lot to do with the 6th seed. The average seed I am seeing on all the sites is a 8-9 seed.

i only see us loosing one more reg season game. that seed is only gonna go up plus our rpi will help on selection day

First round against a Wisconsin team that lost 6 in a row and a possible second round game with a highly overrated Clemson team. Sign me up.

if those were the reall brackets its very possible we would see Vermont in the second round. they are tough

I think we probably end up around an 8 or 9 seed. I can see this team playing well down the stretch just as easily as I can see them dropping a couple more before the SEC tourney. This team is tough to read. I hope they realize that good things await them the more they are able to feed the ball inside to Chism and Tyler.

It's funny how some people were panicking over nothing. With a good ooc resume in a weak conference it would impossible to miss the field.

It's funny how some have short memories. 2 weeks ago, most thought we were going into a tailspin towards the NIT.

Being one of the best 65 teams in NCAAB won't get you into the tourney. You need to be one of the best 34 thanks to automatic qualifiers. (Meaning UGA was not one of the best 65 teams last year, but still got in...)

That possibly would play better in our favor in that sort of event. Maybe another Long Beach State type situation? We can always hope, right?
