#BoycottNRA

About 18 years ago I was at a McDonald's play ground with my daughters. There was this boy in there who was at least 9 or 10 years old wearing a big cowboy hat, sheriff's badge, and holster with a big fake revolver. I remember thinking that it would be pretty cute if he was 4 or 5 years old but looked kind of "special" on a 9/10 year old. I'm curious what he is like now as a 28 year old. I think of that day when I read the posts of some of you guys and wonder, is that him?
When I grew up, we all played cowboys and Indians. We wore cowboy hats and had 6 shooters. We played war, and had helmets, rifles, and toy grenades. We graduated to BB guns, then real guns. None of us grew up and got in trouble with the law. Nobody shot up anything. Once again, you are barking up the wrong tree.

I would LOVE to hang up on Trump. Tip of the hat to all the sports teams that have similarly said "thanks, but no thanks" to meeting the President. I will, however, participate in post-impeachment festivities.
WhoGAS whether a championship team goes to the WH anyway? I know I couldn't care less.

Few of us grew up getting triggered by nine year olds that played with guns.

All my friends grew up to be John Dillinger

He posted a picture of a carbine, which is not a rifle, but I'd instead a compact long gun that if chambered I a handgun caliber (this particular one was most likely a 9mm). In passing the picture,he pondered I'd anyone would realize what it was as opposed to the scary assault rifle you thought it was.

Your ridiculous answer just made you the joke.

I did shoot my cousin in the ballsack with a B.B. gun once. I didn’t break the law but pretty sure when he could walk he wanted to break that B.B. gun over my head.

On that I congratulate you with full honors. Hope they both do well. GT is an awesome school and a very good diploma to have.

Your engineer, what discipline.

Thanks. She's a double major, civil/environmental. Had a great co-op experience (3 semesters, alternating). It was fascinating hearing about the Trump/EPA impact from her company's perspective.

Cut the kids slack. Our argument is with luther, his kids going to GT is quite an accomplishment. Not going to knock him for that.

Thanks again. I'm a jerk on here but I'm a pretty good dad and I've been blessed with a fantastic wife and kids. Tech is a great school and I'm extremely proud.

Same here, up to the "real guns" part. Not really barking up any tree. Just thought the memory was funny; it always stuck in my mind and Squints is the one that made me recall that kid today.

Humor is certainly a matter of perspective, but I guess if we're all finding something to laugh about, it's all good.

I’m not knocking his kids. I’m saying Luther probably doesn’t know which Engeneering field his kid is studying.

I’m honored that I conjur up memories of how ridiculous your psyche truly is.

What do you huff? Asking for a friend.

.45 ACP. But I think I’m going to mod it to fire Nuclear-tipped Exocet missiles. The NRA has free classes that show you how.

:good!:

The Florida State Senate narrowly passed a bill Monday that would raise the age to buy a firearm from 18 to 21, require a three-day waiting period for most gun purchases and ban the sale or possession of bump fire stocks, which can make it easier for a semi-automatic weapon to function like an automatic rifle.

Florida Senate Passes Bill Raising Age To Buy Guns - CNN

Yeah thumbs up huh? So only 3 Dims crossed party lines and voted with Repubs to pass the bill.

This bill is being largely rejected by the state congress Dims. Why? Because there is no gun grab!!

So screw them even when Repubs are trying to pass measures if they don’t get their outright gun grab they take their ball and go home. Screw. Them.

Edit: oh and it still has to clear the house too.
