Yes. People still wear a watch. I wear one 99% of the time. The Fossil brand is strictly a fashion brand its will likely add nice "bling" and add decorative value for the players.

I have a a few Tissots but I only wear them when I have to wear a suit.

Seiko PADI diver is the normal daily beater
Fortis Cosmonaut is the nicer daily beater
Orient Bambino is the dress watch
Roamer Sherock is the nicer dress watch

And about 8 more including Tissot, Grundel, Cleveland WC, Etc in the rotation. No quartz, no "smart watches". Just mechanical goodness.
