Wrong again! I have the Vols going 12 - 2 for the season.
Loses to Alabama & Florida. Win the other 10 regular season games.
Other teams beat Florida for us and we use the back door to get to the S.E.C. Championship game.
We play L.S.U. and our defense contains Leonard F. & our defense harrasses the L.S.U. q.b. all night and he doesn't have time to complete passes.
Then we play someone in the Sugar Bowl and win that game also. For a final season record of 12 - 2.
A 2 loss season will not get us in to the play offs.

We are better than everyone except Alabama but we still lose to Florida.

I'm not afraid to say the Vols will be the team everyone doesn't want to play this year. Solid across the board. Again, this isn't how Kiffin left it and it isn't Dooley's rebuild.

This is a much better thread than ones we had a couple of season's ago wondering if Tennessee would make a bowl.

Well, they just lost a game to Mississippi State by 1 point (22-21) the next week and that was their only other loss in the regular season.

Those two losses together, though, were enough to give an 8-3 (6-2 in SEC) Mississippi State team the tiebreaker and put a Bulldogs team that got blown out both by a 5-6 Oklahoma State team and by a 4-7 LSU, lost to Kentucky, and managed to escape the Liberty Bowl with a 14-6 victory over Memphis into Atlanta over a 9-2 (6-2 in SEC) Arkansas.

(Winning either game - whether it be that 1-point loss to Mississippi State or the UT game - would have resulted in the Razorbacks playing UT again in Atlanta.)

i would be happy with Citrus, because well, we've fallen a long ways down the list and starting to climb back up means occasionally having to retrace some steps.

Including "you can't spell Citrus without UT" along the way.

So, if we win 11 games (including the bowl and / or SEC Championship Game), i'll take the HELL out of that record.
