What bowl might we be going to if we finish 9-3? The outback bowl again.

Again? We haven't played in the Outback Bowl since.......

Holy Crap, we have NEVER played in the Outback Bowl!

Was the Outback Bowl formerlly the Hall of Fame Bowl??? If so, we haven't been in that game since 1993.

We played Ohio State last in the outback. Not sure on the year but Eddie George won the Heisman that year.

that was the citrus

we did play in the then "outback" gator bowl against VT... but never in the official outback bowl. Any news on if the outback bowl is the former Hall of Fame Bowl last played by UT in 93 against boston college?

IF the Vols finish 9-3 it could still be the Music City Bowl if the Outback decides to take the #3 pick from the West (AU, AR or LSU). The Outback is not required to take the #2 finisher in the East. Then there is still the rumour about the Peach taking UGA over UT. I had some concern that the Music City would consider Bama or UK over UT but from what I now understand a 6-6 Bama cannot be selected over any 7-win team so it could come down to the Liberty and Music City Bowls tossing a coin for UK or UT.

WE definitely will NOT play in the Music City Bowl. We will have a decent bowl game and make a trip with MANY fans!

Sorry. That was the citrus. I don't think we've played in a florida bowl game since.

actually that was 96.. peyton's vols then went to the Orange in 98 (97 season). we also whipped michigan in the '02 citrus, possibly my favorite bowl game ever, not counting the 99 fiesta of course

I am hoping for the Outback or even the Capital One if possible so I can see the Vols at New Years!

I was reading the other night about that specific game and that game was the worst lose for Michigan in fifty years and and the worst bowl loss by any Michigan team. I thought that was interesting

I started to add all of the quotes, but it got too confusing.

The Outback Bowl was once the Hall of Fame Bowl. We last played there after the '92 season, when we beat Boston College.

The Gator Bowl was moved to Gainesville following the '94 season, I believe due to stadium renovations or construction in Jacksonville. We beat Va Tech in the Gator Bowl that year.

So far I've seen only Outback and Peach (Atlanta) mentioned as our possible bowl. Oh, and one Cotton Bowl mention against Oklahoma.

Outback and Cotton (Cotton is highly unlikely; you'd figure a SEC west team goes) both pay $3 million. The Peach pays $2.8 million per team if I'm not mistaken.

Personally I'd like to see the Vols in the Outback against Penn State or another Big 10 school.
