I am going. If I can't shake this sinus/chest cold I will return needing new lungs. I am fervently hoping the antibiotics kick it in the butt.

The main thing to remember is this is the reward the players get for all the hard work they put in.

To anyone who can attend, cheer loud and show the team that we have great fans. The seniors deserve a great send off. I wish I could be there.

Hope they have a good showing so that Dobbs / Barnett / Kamara and Sutton go out in style. But I think it is going to be tougher than people think. They are a hard nosed team and our guys have not reacted well to that lately.

We haven't really won easily all year, even against teams like Appalachian State -- and we managed to lose to teams like Vandy and SC, opponents that we should have smashed by 14+ points.

So, we will probably not win easily. However, the boys will be a bit healthier and (I hope) focused and better prepared. They all know that they can end the season on a high note and build some momentum for next year. The coaches should all understand that, too.

I just hope that we don't pull one of our usual "let's make the other team's back-ups look like All-Americas" fiascos. There's a lot to play for, and the Volunteers have the ability to go out and make a very positive statement.

Go Vols!

I just hope that cbj gets the boys ready like he did for past two bowl games against the big10. Iowa and northwestern had really good in conference seasons and Tennessee blew them away.

I hate to be that guy, but; they did that last year and that momentum tanked right away at the start of the new season.
I'm hoping for the best and always: GO VOLS!

I disagree. There were signs of distress but I am 100% okay with the way the season started. It is the two games toward the end of the season that took the wind out of my sails. The bottom line is wins. If there are no moral victories in losing then there should be no moral loses in winning. Beating Virginia Tech, Florida, and Georgia was great for my confidence early in for the season even with ugly play.

So far Butch has been money in the bowl games and I hope that continues with a gigantic arse whooping for Nebraska.

For the most, we're on the same page I believe. Wins are what count and I'll take them any way we can get them. I think the only differences are that I wasn't 100% okay with the start; it seemed there was something "a kilter/signs of distress" on game one and it was there even during the wins you mentioned. Trust me I cheered and crossed my fingers that we turned the corner, but; obviously that didn't happen. What made it all the more disheartening was the way the team performed and finished off last season and the bowl game. That momentum is what had so many hyped about getting to the SECCG. I just can't put my finger on the cause of the big difference between that "Machine" that drummed NW and the cobbled jalopy that played so psychotic this year.:dunno:

We are not a threat to Bama so you baby us :(
Not at all. I'd like to see UT's program get all the way back to SEC "Big 6" level competitiveness.

I always pull for SEC teams when they play OOC games and bowl games.

A strong SEC perception benefits the entire conference -- helps recruiting, rankings, revenues, helps SEC teams get into playoffs, etc.
