Can you imagine the atmosphere there? And we're probably starting the head case that is Crompton? I'm not trying to put a damper on the season or that particular game, but seriously, we were AT HOME last year and remember the fumbles?

I want to get hyped up for that game just like the next guy, but I’m a realist and as long as J.C.'s making the decisions, we're going to have a long day on Sept. 19.
It really wouldn’t surprise me if he had two turnovers that immediately turn into TD’s (ex. pick 6).

This isn’t a negavol thread or a thread stating how good Florida is, I just think no matter how many Eric Berry’s or Hardesty’s we put on the field, if J.C. is our starting QB that day, we’ve already lost….

That’s why I hope CLK has some aces up his sleeve, ie Berry or Nuke at the wildcat, or trick plays out the wazzu something other than a traditional game plan with J.C. at QB. But I have a feeling he’ll be benched before than so it’ll work its self out…

you could insert the name of any QB on our roster and the same would be true

Yes......JC playing QB is the only reason FL will beat us this year (sarcasim)

UT gets beat by UF if Peyton starts.....unless some weird things happen! Possible, but unlikely!

The gameplan will be to run the ball 80 times, keep it a short game and not get blown out by 50 points...the first two are achievable...hopefully the third is also if we don't have a slew of turnovers

You need to change your name from UT's#1Fan to UT's#1Procrastinator ... How bout supporting all the players we have, not just a select few.

While I know that Florida is the team to beat (conference, division, nation) and that we both hold a special kind of distaste for each other, to say that if JC starts we automatically lose is illogical (Although I think I understand your statement as a way of showing you thoughts about JC).
I trust the coaching staff to put the best players on the field, no matter what the position. I for one would love to see JC rebound from the season we had last year and prove all of us who don't think he has what it takes wrong. Maybe the new system will benefit in ways we can't even think of.
And I know that Florida is a mega favorite (understandable after their last few years) but I get the feeling that this team is not afraid of them and it will be a bigger and harder fight than most expect...and hopefully, I will enjoy watching it on gameday...Go Vols and give'em hell!

I agree that this team will def play UF hard...we wont lose because of a lack of effort...

I hope JC feels comfortable enough to at least stay in the game. Last year he obviously wasn't.

And I fully expect to lose to the gators this year. But they have to play the game to know for sure.

I'm hoping some school gets the next big football movie out of a game against florida. Stranger things have happened.

Exactly. How competitive was the game down there in '07 with Ainge at QB?

fairly, until it got blown wide open in the second half. After the Berry pick 6, weren't we only down a td? then foster turned it over and the guy ran it in for a t.d., game over.

no way that fumble is on Foster and our guys just packed it in and quit after that.

Hey lawgator,
Hopefully this isn't deemed to far off topic, but I'd be interested to know what you thought about the FL chances this year and who your three biggest concerns are with your schedule.
