What's a one year suspension? In on e year we are still gonna be bad Let's thumb our nose at the NCAA.
IT IS A MISTAKE to get rid of him.
Guarantee they don't go after Tressel nearly as hard and he did more!
Why did all this start in the first place? Lane Kiffin! Mike Hammy has to go!!!! He threw us under the bus multiple times now.....

Keep Pearl and we will be bad for a decade. Harsher sanctions combined with recruits no longer buying his act is a bad combination.

The word on TOS is that the NCAA has made the University aware that if Pearl is retained, we will get at least a 1 year postseason ban and major scholarship reductions, and Pearl will get a 2 year Show Cause Order.
If Pearl is not retained, we supposedly will get a minor scholarship reduction. Seems like that makes the decision pretty easy.

My understanding is that therewas no BBQ. It was Buddy's BBQ provided. Just ridiculous that student athletes cannot have a BBQ dinner at their propesctive coaches house. It wasnt at a boosters house. I am amazed at the rules these guys come up with. NCAA=JOKE

I might be having a change of heart about keeping Pearl...but if he stays and he were to even fart in a way that is against NCAA policy, then send him packing.

There is a part of me that wants to give a Johnny Cash bird to the NCAA and keep Pearl. But I just think the damage has been done. We've now entered a Tuberville situation at Tennessee. If we keep him, then he'll always be on shaky ground with the folks who wanted rid of him in positions of power. We'll be going through this every year.

A clean break is what is needed. Clean house and start over for better or for worse.

going to assume this was a joke/troll attempt - but I'll bite.

1) Bruce isn't in trouble for a BBQ - he's in trouble because he's a LIAR.
2) You can have a BBQ with recruits/athletes... just not juniors in high school till a certain date.
3) He lied.
4) Who cares if it was buddy's BBQ - he lied. Then lied again with the bump violation.

Pearl is getting the full treatment but what about Tressel. They want to hang Bruce but kiss Tressels feet. Bruce messing up and this year as been a disappointment but he has giving us something to watch during the winter and spring. And to all who saying he lied, get a grap everyone lies and he got caught, big F deal. All those self rightous people, im sorry to disappiont you, but ur sinners too. He without sin cast the first stone.

Sure because you flip a cop off in court when he just gave you a ticket. That will really show him.
You just can't stick it to the NCAA and say "haha". No sir lol. The law is the law no matter how you look at it and we will be buried if Bruce Pearl is our coach. The NCAA could care less.
