In our 2 big wins against Auburn and Kentucky, both teams have strong running games but limited passing attacks. Both are somewhat one-dimensional and Pruitt took advantage. Great defensive scheme.

I’m interested to see how we play Mizzou since they are the opposite — very strong passing team. Thoughts?

Missouri is dangerous. You defend the pass and they run all over you. Can only hope Dooley Dooleys.

Will be interesting to see the difference although Mizzou is not a terrible running team. I believe we will just have to win a shoot out.

They're just as good running the ball 195 per game on the ground

IMO, its not about which team shows up on the other side of the field that determines the likelihood of a win so much as which team shows up on our side. Will it be the team that just dominated KY and Auburn or muddled through Charlotte?

I could see Miz game being kinda like SC, but could also see Pruitt scheming them up pretty good. They're a pretty resilient team that has played most all their quality opponents close (win or lose), so would expect the same on Sat.

I think our boys come to play on Saturday. Can't say if we'll win or lose, but I think they're turning a leaf in that they'll give it their all against these last 2 sec teams.

D line must generate a consistent pass rush with front 4 making D. Lock uncomfortable in the pocket. If he sits in the pocket with limited pressure then I am afraid it will be a long day for our defense. Four sacks from D. Taylor would help tremendously. :D

We have the potential to win out. I was suprised just how one dimensional uk was.

Mizzou is very dangerous. They have a balanced attack - Pass and run. If our D can block their running game and make them turn to their running game, then put a lot of pressure on Lock... we have won over half the battle. The big test, I believe, will be in the trenches. If our OL, DL, and LB's play Mizzou like they did the Kitty-Kats... we should add a "W" to our W/L column on Saturday, a tough fought for W, but a W nonetheless.

My point is that Mizzou is a lot more balanced than both the teams we beat. They are more dangerous in the passing game more than any team we’ve played since Alabama and WV.

Offensively yes. They are more capable than AU has been or UK can be. They are also not nearly as good on defense as either AU or UK.

This is Exactly what worries about this game! I think is not a good matchup, although CJP and co. are
scheming their butts off as we speak! We will see if they game plan a win!?!?

Their QB had strung together a couple good games but they were pretty much old school running and playing defense for success. I thought going in the game hinged on whether we could man up and force him to make plays throwing. We did that and some. And the offense was able to find early success.

If the DL is able to get in the back field like they did Sat. without having to send many blitzs the D will be fine.

See WV game. Drew Lock & Will Grier are both very good. Our secondary is more seasoned. Our DL seems to be getting pressure.. Dooley has been able to watch film on each of our previous games...Same with Pruitt on theirs... Chess match...

UT will have to score to win this game. The odd thing is that they've struggled horribly against some bad defenses this year. WVA, Charlotte and UTEP are prime examples. Yet they moved the ball pretty well vs Auburn and Kentucky.

West Virginia certainly isn't a 'bad' defense, and I get that it is Charlotte, but their defense actually isn't bad either.

Rushing defense wise, they’re not bad.

Passing defense wise, though, they’re hot garbage.
