Booster rumor: Kiffin to Arkansas

Heard from an Arkansas booster and double checked it with a vol who is a university professor there..

They hired the Houston AD in order to get an inside track to Lane Kiffin. Plane tracking is going on and they fully expect Kiffin to get an offer from Arkansas. That WalMart money is going to be hard to say "no" to..

Interesting. But kiffin might find a home poking Uncle Nick in the nads every fall. (and that should make us happy except when we have to play them).

I think he can be a solid 8 win guy at Arkansas, but time will tell.

Any hope I had for Kiffin went out the window the moment Phil was hired. Not a knock on Phil but I knew he wasn't going to hire the guy that replaced him.

The OTHER reason that I shared it is that this means that Brent Venables (whom I want to hire here), seems to be in the running at Arkansas, but he is not the leading candidate.

So, I'm hoping on either Brohm, Venables or Miles

Are you kidding? That's perfect for Kiffin, outside of UT.

He's good enough to be a 7-8 win coach minimum.

If he's able to pluck a few kids out of Texas and Midwest, he could be deadly there.

At the end of the day, Kiffin would be solid there because Arky isn't going to have any expectations for the first 2-3 years except to be competitive, which Bielema wasn't.
