I keep reading from a bazillion different posts, that Tenn needs to Buy out CJP and staff and then finally $pend Big Buck$ and go get a proven top tier Head Coach and spend the big time money for a Big Time Coach. My question is, who is/are the big money Booster($)) that would pay for this bill? Haslam is out, we ran the whole family out 3 years ago.
The AD is facing at least a 50million dollar shortfall this year mostly due to Covid. So where do these funds come from?

they have the money from boosters if they choose to make a move... they have to choose to make a move though which I don't think they are there.... yet

i expect Pruitt and company to be back next season but he will be on the major hot seat and may not make it to the end of next season

things could change however...but it would surprise me

I highly doubt the funds are coming this year. Next year is questionable, too.

Haslam’s pockets might be a little deeper that the Browns are having a good year, but as mentioned, he probably isn’t lining up to write any checks.

That's not the way buyouts usually work. Buyouts, especially this large, are financed out. That's why we are still paying Butch. If boosters were fronting that money, then we just write a check and be done with him. We need to sign the loan and send him down the road. It's over!

We have donors who make the Haslam's look like welfare recipients. Some you'd know, and some you wouldn't. Doesn't matter...if they want to make a change they'll have the money.

I’d be shocked if Haslam donates a single dime ever again, and I’m ok with that. Control freak

That’s why I mentioned that Tn is projected to be at least 50 million in the hole this year. Money is not there unless big huge Daddy WarBucks Booster foots the Bill.

I am aware. It's not an issue if a move is determined to be needed.

Maybe since he has taken hands off on the browns a little bit and seen they are having a good year and all he has to do is write the check he will do the same at TN.

no prob, his name is charlie ergen. definitely our most wealthy booster and it’s not close.
Yep....I was trying not to use names, not that it matters. It just sounds like your trying to pick his pocket when you personalize it.

He donates money every time he sits in his skybox seats during football season. He donates money every time he sits courtside at basketball games. There is a requirement to sit there, as would be expected.

UT’s boosters have ponied up time and time again at the direction of 4 different AD’s just to see awful results. I really don’t see how they would have the stomach to do it all over again until there is real reason to believe the same mistakes are not being made.

Haslams pizzed at TN!! He ain’t donating Squat. He will buy his press box booth and ads for his truck stops but UT told him to get out.

i doubt it, mostly because money talks. if he’s so pissed then he could literally write a check to make whoever didnt listen last time listen now.

i just don’t care for haslam to do that because he typically has horrible choices for which coaches to chase with said check.
