Boo Carter (Status, Rumors, Updates)

I agree. Maybe that’s the idea behind the sports bra. If anyone complains that he’s balling with the boys in helmet and full pads too early, saying he should be punished longer, Heupel can squash that easily by saying, “We already took the punishment to the most extreme level. Boo had to wear a SPORTS BRA over his jersey all day, and there’s no way to punish a man any more harshly than that!”
The starting D could all take a turn kicking him in the nards. That seems harsher

Fans believe because they've played a Sport at some level they could be the greatest coach in the United States. Armchair coaches have all the answers to every problem on the field ...😂😂
Maybe one of you armchair coaches can help... I am trying to change my offensive approach to asking my wife to get me another beer during the game.

Run a post play to the frig no longer working

Just scream, "Dang it, you old witch, I said get me a beer!"

You won't get a beer but the IV in the ER will probably feel pretty good.

Not just a losing record. They were 2-8. He was responsible for only 9 TDs. 3 passing and 6 rushing. He threw 13 interceptions. He was on the field nearly every play (returned punts and kickoffs, punted and place kicked, and played safety), but that doesn't make you great.
Hornung was a great player as evidenced by his NFL success. But he probably shouldn’t have even been a finalist that year. Majors, Jim Brown, and Tommy McDonald were all more deserving.

Thanks for posting that. Interesting info in there. It would appear that the team has set out some pretty stringent requirements for Boo to work his way back on to the team and we’ll see how he reacts.

When asked what UT has learned out of these situations, it was also interesting to hear Hubbs say that agents/family members have been and will be an issue going forward for ALL programs, not just UT. Unlike what a few folks seem to think, there is no magic bullet for managing a roster in this new world. You have to react to each case accordingly and there’s going to be some every year.

Use the word “sensuous” in your request.

Darling you look sensuous. Sensuous up, get me a beer.
Too big a word for her to think it's me, but thx.
Hey, would "hot" work? As in "this game is making me sweat like an oinker, would you get me another cold one? Oh, and you look hot too!"

Yep. It was that one loss.. Just like it was that one loss for Peyton against Florida and those two losses for Hendon. I understand the voters from 1956 are possibly dead, but the standards for the Heistman change without notice.

Sports awards have to be a psy-op against the American public. Because the liberty to change policy without notice is really all anyone in power needs to stay in power. The tyrants really seem to know our tolerance for such inconsistencies, also.
No they selected the Heisman winner before we lost our bowl game. So they spurned Johnny on a 10-0 Tennessee team for Hornung with all his int's on a dog crap 2-8 Notre Dame team.

We also should have been national champions that year over Oklahoma! Their wins

H UNC (2-7-1)
H K-State (3-7)
N Texas (1-9)
@ Kansas (3-6-1)
@ Notre Dame (2-8)
@ No.18 Colorado (8-2-1)
@ Iowa St (2-8)
H Mizzou (4-5-1)
H Nebraska (4-6)
@ Okie St (3-5-2)

One win over a ranked team! Now they did blow most of them out, but still look at TN's.

@ Auburn (7-3)
@ No.20 Duke (5-4-1)
H Chatt (5-4)
H Bama (2-7-1)
H Maryland (2-7-1)
H UNC (2-7-1)
@ No.2 GT (10-1)
H No.19 Ole Miss (7-3)
H UK (6-4)
@ Vandy (5-5)

Vastly superior resume. Became number 1 after beating No.2 GT then beat No.19 Ole Miss 27-7 and somehow dropped back to 2nd because OU beat crappy Mizzou.

In short....ESPN has hated us a long time....

Somebody posted this on TOS. Apparently he visited and played video games with kids who are going through chemo at a hospital. Kudos to him and kudos to the coaches and teammates who are making sure he earns his spot in every way. This is just a great sign all around. It isn't all just about football.

I’ve said this many times: I never want to see the Heisman at TN. It’s tradition for one of our guys to deserve it and to see it go to someone else.

It is a testament to it’s lack of credibility that the Heisman overshadows the national championship of 1956. Sure, the championship was part of Oklahoma’s 47 game win streak, but there’s no greater example of one’s own hypocrisy than pollsters. The same people who rated the teams on Tennessee’s schedule higher than those on Oklahoma’s schedule also decided their previous rankings were untrustworthy at the end of the season.

It’s good for the soul to understand that awards and superlatives mean very little beyond what a tiny group may think. How in the world Heisman trophies and newspaper championships ever got so much attention is extreme silliness.

On Day 2, Boo has been forced by the team leadership council to endure the humiliation ritual of wearing a sports bra all day in practice. He’s earning his spot back on the team brick-by-brick. 🧱
I saw a video of Bama’s players wearing those bras and their fans were saying the same thing in the comments. Surely someone could create a less feminine looking weight vest.

Yeah, or just use a plate carrier, especially if Boo's just frolicking around and not doing drills. Start him off with steel plates. Then, if he does all the stuff he should be doing, replace them with lighter ceramic ones. Then, if he keeps doing what he should be doing, replace them with polyethylene. Then, if he keeps doing things right, shake his hand, take his vest, and hand him a helmet.

Saturday morning marked practice No. 3 for Tennessee football as it prepares for the upcoming season. After Boo Carter went through warmups with no helmet in the first two, he took the next step to fully rejoin the team after the day off.

Carter went through warmups, this time in a helmet and with shoulder pads. After stretches, he briefly went to the weight room before heading to the corner of the indoor facility to join other inactive teammates. He began by working with a weighted ball before going through agility drills. When the team went outside, Carter stayed in to continue his work.
