i imagine as their schedule gets easier and the bcs teams tougher that the computers will start dropping boise.

I was thinking the same thing. I still don't understand how they are ranked 1st with that system and Ohio State 5th.

Screw it. At this point I am rooting for a Boise State-TCU match up in the BCS championship game.

When 7 people tune in to watch the game you will have Fox et al demanding a playoff and the money talks.

We were talking about that at lunch. One of those teams in the championship game would probably get the ball rolling, but both of them would be armagedon for the BCS.

If you are a pro-playoff guy like me, then you are cheering for Boise and TCU just for this reason.

Because the best team Ohio State has played was Miami.

luckeyes schedule is almost as bad as Boise State. They would be embarresed in a national championship game.

it's the bottom 9 of the schedule which should make it impossible for boise to ever go to the bcs championship game. people talk about wins vs wins, but they ignore that playing 7 or 8 games against guys who COULD beat you is just as big of a factor. see bama vs sc.

That's what I am saying. They have been pretty bad in BCS games in the past, and I don't think they are going to score enough points to beat anybody (aside from maybe Oregon) that they would play, but their defense will keep them in with almost everybody.

Ohio State's schedule
3-2 Miami
3-2 Indiana
3-2 Illinois
3-3 Ohio
1-4 Marshall
0-6 Eastern Michigan
13-19(40.6%)

Boise State's schedule
4-2 Virginia Tech
3-2 Oregon State
2-4 Wyoming
1-4 New Mexico State
1-5 San Jose State
11-17(39.3%)

Ohio State has more wins.

Ohio State has beaten more teams with winning records.

Ohio State has beaten more teams from BCS conferences.

I hate Ohio State and neither schedule is anything to write home about. How Boise State is projected 1st while Ohio State is 5th makes little sense to me.

Ohio St had better pray Boise St drops.....Boise St can and I believe WOULD put it on them.

I don't. I think Boise State could win but I think more than likely Ohio State's defense would lay waste to Boise State's offense. Kellen Moore would feel like he is in the twilight zone as he lays on his back and watches Ohio State take it to the house.

waht have people seen of boise THIS YEAR that indicates tehy would take it to any top-5 team? why are we giving them credit for wins by other players in different years?

People are just making the jump in logic that because Boise COULD stay on the field with any of the top 10 teams in the country that means they should have a shot at the title.

Again, as ESPN's "BCS expert" said, there's a near guarantee that as the season goes on, Boise and TCU's schedules may certainly keep them out of the title game.

On that note, TCU will have more quality wins by years end -- Oregon State, Air Force and Utah, the latter two being more impressive than Virginia Tech IMO.

I don't know, but we're using the same logic to assume OSU will get embarrassed for sure if they make it to a national title game.

That, and their MWC schedule is simply tougher than the WAC. Does Boise even have to try anymore to finish unbeaten?

or they'll just show the game and we'll unfortunately be stuck with either watch it or don't.

It's not like the advertising or sponsorships are going to pull.

Also, why will Fox be complaining in money talks for a playoffs, they lose the whole thing after this year

I do have to kinda laugh at the people though thinking that a boise-tcu game would magically lead to everything changing. All that happens there is we're screwed having to watch a bad game and the system keeps getting its money.

I've never heard so many people complain about a team that has yet to fail a teat.

I wouldn't worry about Boise St. fellas, it's gonna be Nebraska and LSU in the title game this year.
