I've been a Mark Martin fan since I got into NASCAR and I was glad to see him be successful last year and pick up where he left off last year by winning the pole. While #5 is my favorite driver I have several racers who I like to see do well and Old Bobby is one of those guys.

Think he'll actually be semi-successful in the #71 Chevy this year? I saw where TRG Motorsports has formed an alliance with Richard Childress Racing to provide cars, chassis repairs and testing resources for the #71 and will have Earnhardt-Childress engines. They also have an agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing to provide pit crew support for the #71 team. I'd like to see Bobby win a race or two this year or at least run decent, so what are your opinions?

I actually wanted to see Bobby go to RCR but maybe TRG will surprise and provide him with some good equipment this year.

It looks as if the 71 will try to go the distance the full season. I bet they enter a 70 out there for purse money if things get too tight.

Well RCR is working on the 71 cars and providing pit crew help, race cars, and motors. The owner of TRG Kevin Buckler has the money to make this team successful. He's ran a good Sport Car organization since the early 00's with wins at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Bobby may not tear it up with this team but I'm willing to bet this team is MILES ahead of the 96 team he drove for last season.

He's my favorite driver. I hope he does well. I was hoping he would go to RCR the year the 33 car opened up.

He will have to be conservative with limited equipment. Kinda puts him behind already like alot of lower tier teams.

He ran pretty decent yesterday from what I saw. The #71 team finished as the top finishing single car team with a 21st place finish. What Labonte needs to do is run well these next four races to keep the #71 within the top 35 in owner points so the team will be guaranteed a start in each race this season. Also I hope he finds some additional sponsorship since TaxSlayer.com is only signed for 13 races this year.
