Maybe you can help me with this because it has been ages ago and may not even be open any longer. Can't recall the name. If you walk out of Beni
Hana and go around the corner by Nick's and up the hill toward the Omni Hotel, about half way up then accross the street was a piano bar downstirs with a restaurant on the second floor. That upstairs restaurant was the most incredible desserts I've ever eaten. That was my go to date. Beni Hana then up to that place for dessert.

Edit: Could have been Peachtree Center where Benihana originally was located.

OK, I'm gonna take flack from some of you here on our beloved VN website, but I never knew about Bobby Dodd's time at UT back in the late 20s. He had to be the BUSIEST student on campus ever as he lettered in Football, Baseball, Basketball and Track - not to mention being in a Fraternity. DANG!! Heck, my folks were pretty proud of me for lettering in Football and Bowling (yes, the shame) my Jr. and Sr. years back at my high school in NJ however, that pales in comparison to what Mr. Dowd did during his time in Knoxville. Goony Goo Goo!! And the fact that he played under General Neyland explains why he brought those winning ways to the Ramblin' Wreck at GA Tech! Go Vols and yes, fill up Bobby Dodd Stadium with Orange and White - it'll make Mr. Dowd smile for sure!!

It would have to have been Peachtree Center to be near the Omni, but I can’t think of where you’re talking about.

One of those buildings coming in on International used to be maybe a Marriott in a previous life, or something similar and had a Benihana in the ground floor.

Went to Bobby Dodd for GT/FSU many many moons ago. Super fun place to see a good matchup. Not Neyland loud/crazy, but a good venue to enjoy. Also not alot of real estate for major upgrades or expansion, so they have done a pretty good job with what they have & can do.
