Fill Bobby Dodd Stadium with orange Vol Nation!!! Georgia Tech ticket office has cheaper seats than through UT ticket office. We got 3 rows secured with Vols in section 222. It is not UT section but we can paint more sections with orange. The link is below or just Google search Georgia Tech ticket office. Have a good day and Go Vols!!

I'm going to make every effort to attend this game. I've never been to Bobby Dodd Stadium. I believe it is the oldest on campus stadium in Division 1 FBS. Before the expansion in '91 I had been to every SEC stadium except Dodd. It's been on my bucket list for a while.

They were in the SEC during my lifetime.

It’s actually a really good place to see a game and it’s not terrible logistically to get to.

I only live about an hour from campus, so I just gave in and bought season tickets. I literally could get 7 home games through the school for the same price as the aftermarket is charging for our game. It’s nuts.

I went to the GT-Syracuse game in 2023 and end zone seats were 20 bucks a piece

@GAVol or other ATL folks:

IF I was able to convince my wife to make a weekend out of this, where's a nice place to stay with a great restaurant nearby and easy access to MARTA to ride in and out? I came to the Syracuse game but made it a day trip and haven't stayed in Atlanta in years.

They did a pretty.major update while I was there (90s) and I believe another one a few years ago.

The 90s update they removed the old wooden bleachers in the north (I think?) end zone and tore down the old Heisman gym for better concourses on that end.

Truthfully, I.miss the stadium the way it was in my early days at Tech. Place had some character then, these days just seems like kinda of cookie cutter to me a bit but oh well

Just as a side note-up until at least the mid 90s, most student groups could reserve the stadium/field during the off season Player many an in-fraternity game on Grant Field.....(This also doesn't count the drunken hopping the fences with your buddies at 3 AM and kicking field goals visits ha ha)

I wouldn’t even stay downtown. Ride down on Friday and go to the Braves game. Stay at the Omni or Doubletree in the Battery and walk before and after to one of the bajillion bars and restaurants down there. Drive across the top end to Sandy Springs to catch MARTA to Centennial Park area on Saturday and go to the college football hall of fame/World of Coke/Aquarium. Then ride down to North Ave for the game that night.

If you want to splurge a little with the wife, I’d stay at one of the nice hotels in buckhead (lots of great restaurants) and take the Marta from the JW Marriott parking lot - or splurge and stay at the Ritz downtown on Peachtree and get a balcony table at the Atlanta Grill on the second floor of the Ritz (she’ll love that) overlooking Peachtree and take the Marta from there - there will be lots of Vols staying there for sure.

I remember students camping out and then selling their tickets to the Florida game for $600. Not sure why but, $600 is high to me.

Just across I-75 from GA Tech'Bobby Dodd Stadium is this famous eating spot. :cool:

The were and made terrible mistake when they withdrew from the SEC. Either before or after the game, cross over the interstate and have a chilidog at the Varsity.

Excellent advice. I you get the right room you can watch the Braves game from your room's balcony, or the hotel terrace viewing area.
