Years ago, when both Phil and Bobby were "unemployed" football-wise, I suggested a TV show in which the pair of them traveled to visit high school football programs all across the Southeast. In addition to reporting on the school, program, coaches, athletes, support, culture, et al, they would investigate things to do and places to eat around town. I envisioned Phil as the straight guy and Bobby as the clown prince. Think pick-up trucks, practice fields, fishing holes, local places of interest, diners, and BBQ.

I always assumed the Clemson coach would get the Bama job. Pruitt will have mid level success in the near future but Dani is already playing in National Championships
What about Kirby Dumb getting the Bama job?
I think Saban will win his 7th National Championship this year to bypass Bear. Then retire and become Bama A D

Dabo has built the Clemson program, he can stay there forever and be the "bear bryant" of clemson. Plus he has said before he wouldn't go back to bama (not that that means anything, but worth noting). Kirby is from georgia and went to school at georgie so that is his dream job, it would be like Fulmer ever having left Tennessee to go to Auburn. It happened a long time ago when Doug Dickey quit UT to return to his alma mater florida.

Fact is the best we can hope for is to be competing for Championships in 3 years. Lets say Tennessee wins the SEC in 3 years and Saban is coming off another natty. He is pushing 70 and may be ready for a new challenge (AD? SEC commish?) and you are bama you look around. Here is jeremy pruitt, a lifelong bama fan and bama alum he just took UT to their first SEC championship in 24 years, who is your first call?
