I still think Brian Kelly would have done well. That doesn't mean I'm bitter about the CLK hire. I just believe Kelly has a bright future ahead of him.

Knox, great writing, seriously. Good stuff from the analogies in the beginning to the analysis of the coaches later on.

Once football starts and this team is looking good, all the crap about CLK will disappear... No one will be talking about his loose words and his name calling or whatever, they'll be talking about his highly ranked recruiting classes and how he turned UT into the USC of the east coast... This staff will not accept failure... I know that's a cliche statement, but nothing about this staff seems cliche to me... The Vols will be back, and I believe, sooner than most people think! GO VOLS!

Good article. I think the "manifest destiny" analogy hits the nail on the head - a combination of (subjective) arrogance, competitiveness, hard work etc. i.e. all the right ingredients to be a true MNC contender

Good article. Unless proven otherwise I will say kiffin was the best choice available to Hamilton.

Nice read, makes me feel even more confident about the hire. I haven't been this pumped about football in March in quite a while.:dance2:

I don't understand this unless you didn't hear that Gruden was fired.
