Coaches should have more respect for the kids if you were thinking about this then you should have done it sooner at least before the mandatory Dead Period to give schools a chance to put out some feelers and maybe get a few quick interviews set.

On Friday morning both Bledsoe Co. & Jellico Head Coaches resigned less than 35 days until the opening Friday night of the season.

No big deal for Jellico. Not much winning goes on there anyways. Shouldn't even have football.

Both positions were filled today with interim head coaches for 2018 season.

I'm a Boyd alum - it's because they just got a new AD and he was going to put Cardwell on the hot seat after a 2-8 season last year. He wasn't ready to be a head coach and would've gotten himself fired had he stayed, so he quit. Boyd will have an interim coach this year.
