What good would come from letting Pearl go now? Do they think that the NCAA will back off if they release him in good faith? The only thing I see coming from this is that the University will have a black hole on their mens basketball team, that if they don't get filled immediately the team may completely fall apart. I see Tennessee getting slammed with violations, problems in recruiting for many years, and praying to get invited to even the NIT. I hope Hamilton or whoever is in charge has a captain to right this ship because the UT Titantic is about to launch off.

Already been over this. When Pearl is fired, all basketball materials will be liquidated via a community yard sale, and cease to exist.

Because if UT lets Bruce go, most of these penalties go with him. We'll at least have a chance to play for a national championship and put a few more kids on scholarships opposed to heavier sanctions that would bury our program in deeper mud than it will be. Next year will be rough, regardless. If you kept Pearl, no recruit comes to this school because they know Tennessee is fixing to get hammered. If you get rid of Pearl, which is what will happen, nobody knows what happens next because we gotta find a coach, more than likely lose our two best offensive players, our only two recruits and basically start from scratch again.

I wish this would stop. It's getting painful to see. It's getting hard to search through all the nonsense for a good post these days.
