"From riches to rags?

Forget about last year. For this group of previously successful teams, the 2009 season could bring drastically different results. These former contenders might even be getting bowl dates before New Year's Day — or Christmas. Think that's too dire a prediction for teams we've crowned champs? Better to prepare yourself now, then, as this year will be undoubtedly shaky for these 10 teams. Fans will have some Cinderella-level disappointment coming to them when the clock strikes 12 and their team's carriage to victory turns into a pumpkin. — Lisa Horne"

Yeah, that's why it says "drastically different".

Well, they didn't say drastically for USC's bit, they just said USC "may not win the PAC-10." I think their expectations should be lower. They lost 8 defensive starters and their QB and top WR. Sure they will be really good, but they won't be as good.

the loss of patrick turner is an addition by subtraction for SC. sanchez is a major loss. i don't buy this argument they lose 3 games though. i bet they still roll OSU and make a bcs (even if they lose the pac-10).

A friend of mine, a die-hard Georgia homer, keeps mentioning Joe Cox, Heisman, and National Championship, all in one sentence, and it's kinda annoying. I agree that UGA is gonna have a less than spectacular year and worthy of number one on that list. I cant see them even contending for the a National Title this year.

That's a typical UGA fan. I know, my in-laws are all from Georgia. When they flop though, notice that he won't be talking about Cox, Georgia, or college football period. They are extremely fair weather. When they are winning or expecting good things, you can't stand them, but when things go south, they are nowhere to be found.

I liked how it mentioned tough games for Alabama and Georgia and UT wasn't even mentioned. However, I thought it was interesting how Auburn was listed on Alabama's schedule.
