I have one. It's a phone and an organizer but mostly what it excels at is email. If you need email on the go this is THE thing to have. There are better phones and better organizers (palm) but nothing can match the email capability of the blackberry. In my business I need email on the go and the blackberry is a can't miss.

My moms is all up on that kind of product, she constantly has nothing but terrible things to say about Blackberry. :dunno: I wanna get what my dad has though, this badass satellite cell phone/palm organizer. You can make a call from anywhere on the planet. That would work really well since I'm out in the middle of nowhere on a constant basis.

What's her problem with it milo? Like I mentioned before, if your need is email then there is no comparison.

Blackberrys are great at email. Just got the brandnew 8700 model. The newer ones are also great at browsing too. I pickup both my work email and the web capability is also very good. I can pick up on whats up on Volnation while on the go.

She mentioned something about cases of e-mail server problems. :dunno:

And that outside of e-mail it's pretty much worthless...

She's got a Sony Clie.

I couldn't really care either way though, I don't see any use for a palm organizer/e-mailer whatever in the near future.

Sounds like it's more carrier problems than the device itself. Could be wrong, though.

Blackberries are great if you need your email all the time. The phone reception has improved tremendously recently as well.

The 600 wasw so bad, when Cingular first introduced it, we immediately had to take it off the market for 6 months until the bugs were somewhat worked out. Even then, it was still a POS.
