Does anyone have any experience with the pearl 8130? I have decided it is time to buy a smartphone and I think this is the way to go for me. The only drawback I can find is the lack of a full qwerty keypad but since I have never had one to begin with I guess I can't really miss it.

I tried out a friend's before I bought and didn't like it. Guess I've gotten used to the full keypad. Ended up getting the 8830 instead and love it

I planned on getting the 8830 and then it hit me.......I never thought I would say it but I don't think I can get by without the camera. As ridiculous as it sounds I have 2 small children and have caught so many great moments on camera only because I had one readily available in my pocket.

a camera was definitely something I considered but I really didn't use it that often on my previous phone. I really like the trackball though (on either phone). Great when browsing the web or when playing Golden Tee :)

I'm about ready to ditch my treo 650 and get a Treo 755. The 755 smokes my 650 and laptop aircard while on the net.

That's too bad.
Nah, I love verizon's service and since my wife works for them it is dirt cheap. What I hate about Verizon is that it seems like they get new devices a year after AT&T. I get a new phone every year, so this time next year I will move to whatever version of the curve VZW has (or an 8830 with a camera).

I'd like to switch to Verizon from Sprint, but I have a crapload of time left on my contract... 18 months I believe... Sprint service sucks big monkey whatnots.
