If we lose Trooper Taylor how many more minority coaches do we have? The importance of having black coaches is huge because we are recruiting alot of black players. What other minorities are out there who are worthy of being a position coach here?

no it is not. what is important to recruits, is joining a top level program and having coaches that can teach them how to be better football players. and pretty college girls...

I don't care what color the coaches skin is, as long as they can coach and recruit. Black, white, purple, yellow, or green, it makes no difference as long as the guy can get the job done. All of that being said, UT would probably be looked down on for not having more black coaches on staff because for whatever reason that is how the world works.

If it was so important TSU and SWAC teams would be where all the top recruits would be going. Nah, I don't think kids care if their coaches are black or white. Just good. This is the stupidest thread I've ever seen.

I'm forwarding this tread to the Reverends Jessie and Al.

When will this ever end? The assumption that a black athlete cannot relate to a white coach is implying that a black athlete does not have the capacity judge a person’s merit without regarding skin color...that is bad thinking. Just because someone raised this as an issue on a broadcast does not qualify this as an empirical truth. We have to get past this way of thinking.

I hate when this line of thinking emerges. How about we just hire the best guy for the job - black, white, green splotches...who cares?
