I'm confused ...any way, Crompton has shown that he has the qualities you want in a QB: fearlessness, determination, and a decent arm. Until he gets a chance to take over the team it is impossible to tell at this point if those qualities will match up with the needed smarts to lead the offense. I'll put it this way, he performed well enough against two difficult opponents as a redshirt freshman so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment.

bad grammer on my part sry...he wouldnt have done anything during those two games without Robert Meachem. He's proven nothing. Coleman probably has the same qualities, if not better qualities, as Crompton. Cutcliffe seems to be awfully fond of Coleman as well. You may give Crompton the benefit of the doubt, but the coaching staff won't.

I get what you're saying, but the same thing can be said of Nick Stephens and B.J. Coleman. Neither of them has ever played a meaningful down in college football, while Crompton has. I will be surprised if Crompton is beat out for the starting job next year.

I wouldn't be suprised but I kind of expect him to win it in the end, but I'm just saying I think they are all on about the same level. Crompton has a cockiness/confidence that may help him win that job, which is the reason I like him so much. Still a lot can happen during a wide open QB race. I'm excited for it.

I for one will say that i am scared to death of JC. I'm not so sure he will be the man next year. I dont know about him he just seems so.... whats the word i'm looking for? COCKY yes thats it. i hope i am wrong about him.

I think that if Cut is still around he will be ready or he will not be on the field...
