:good!: I will be flying to B-ham on Thursday and returning to Abilene Friday or Saturday. I will be wearing my brightest orange attire when we go out to eat that night. Wheres a good place to get some southern BBQ. Or just any place in general that is a good resturant.

Stayed on night in Abilene while I was on my way to Tempe for the Fiesta Bowl. Nice town. Different, but nice.

Is quite a few places here in birminghell. The most famous Bar-B-Q place is Dreamland. Some of the best ribs. Also there is Full Moon Bar-B-Q They are a sports place. Full of Memorabilia but get ready to see a lot of Crimson. Those are two of the best bbq places to go though. Anyone at the hotel can tell you how to get to the nearest one. Is a start.

I will be at home making my world famous Chili for the game on saturday. More than welcome to pull up a chair and get your fill of beer and VOL talk.

There are a MILLION good BBQ places in b'ham. My girlfriend's favorite is Jim 'n Nick's. Full Moon is excellent... what part of town do you think you'll be around Herk?

Probably somewhere around the airport. We are flying a 1972 model C-130 in for a overhaul. We will be flying home on a commerical flight the next day.

We ended up eating at Jim n Nicks at 5 points. B-ham is a nice town. I enjoyed seeing real trees and some hills. (compared to west Texas).

When we landed this old boy comes on teh aircraft and needed to do an inventory of the equipment on the plane. He was wearing a red hat with a sill looking "A" on it. I told him that my head was cold and I pulled out my fav UT hat. He pretty much had a fit!
