I didn't even realize he was in Back to the Future until I read this thread.

There is no reason you should notice him in BTTF. Unless you just know that its him and you make a conscious effort to watch him, he's nothing other than background. That being said, he is a fine actor and had some great performances in Titanic and Tombstone, as well as in a bunch of low-budget/indie films.
