Bill Snyder/Phil Fulmer comparison

8 wins would be a minimum, with ocassional 9 wins or better. 8 wins would be considered mediocre to some people. Once the Vols fans got used to winning 9 games or better and being top 10 finishes and going to a top bowl they were happy. UT needs to get back to beating the Gators, UGA and Bama every so often plus LSU & Arkansas when we play them. Could being playing Texas A&M before long. The Aggies are a tough team currently.[/QU If anyone remembers the bowl fiascos is what really started the drum beat to fire fulmer. Both Peach Bowls, especially the second one, made alot of people including the boosters extremely mad! Last 10 years he went to what, eight bowls? Won the 01 bowl after the dismal and bitter loss to LSU in the SECCG and again in 07? Did he win only one more in that span? Maybe 04 season?

In 2007 didn't Ainge throw 2 int's in the 4th qtr. And we lost by 1 TD am I correct.

Fulmer had great coordinators he was never really an Xs and Os guy himself. His best characteristic is that he could make the kids feel like family and that's why so many talented guys came here. But toward the end he started focusing more on living life and enjoying it, and I can't blame him, but that was the start of the end. He stopped recruiting as hard and college recruiting never stops.

You realize Phil was an OC before a HC?

Does anyone think strong gundy golden or fisher can do better than PF? I really don't. Been a vols fan a long time. I say we bring him back. Surround him with great coordinators and take a year to search. Find the next great coach. He would take the job to help UT. He still has mad love for us.
