So he just basically spit on UT and said that CDD would NEVER be able to out recruit the top coaches from the SEC... He said "maybe they make it in the top 25, but I doubt it".... This dude just crawled under my skin. What do yall think?
News for King and anyone else who cares - no other traditional SEC team is capable of outrecruiting the remaining 5 on a consistent basis either. Otherwise, when Fulmer was pulling in all those Top 5 (on paper) classes then we should have/would have put a substantial talent gap between us and the rest of the league. Of course, we did not. Why? Because with plenty of good players to go around and 85 scholarships all the makings are there for parity. Unless we start signing a class full of 2* and 3* players annually, we aren't going away any time soon.
I just wonder how they could possibly come to that conclusion, when Dooley's first full class hasn't even been inked yet? We have the money and facilities, we'll see in the coming years if we have the right coach. I think we do. Posted via VolNation Mobile
Maybe because the home state universities in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana are sitting on a Jethro Bodine-size mountain of talent and Tennessee H.S. talent is more of a sandbox.
Thank you to Bill King for a "obvious" comment. The SEC leads college football in recruiting. It is not about out recruiting anybody, it is about keeping up. Tennessee has show the ability to bring in top 5 and top 10 classes. Now, the question is, will UT be able to do so under the direction of Coach Dooley? It is possible, but not a given.
While I am not 100% sold on Dooley, I feel better about him now than I ever have. And Bill King just sucks off Bama and Florida all day. According to him Bama and Florida will win every NC for as long as college football exists.
