Biggest thing we’re lacking...

What were lacking is “drive” and the “will to”

Is elite speed at the skill positions. Was evident last year and again yesterday. Coleman is the second coming of John Kelley but he’s not a threat to house one. Chandler is that guy hopefully. Same for the WRs. We have what looks like 4-5 possession receivers. No one could stretch the field or break a long one. Hopefully some speed starts to show itself w more downfield passes called. Same for DBs although some of that is technique from the younger guys. But Buchanan, Abernathy and Warrior were in chase mode all game.

We’ve got to address that in recruiting/juco/grad transfers. We’re were just not good enough to go an entire game without any big splash plays and still score a decent amount.

Maybe you meant Jordan instead of Coleman, right?

CJP:”Speed is overrated”

I think he meant that in a sense of "if speed is all you have, you don't have enough other things" kind of way ... he sure didn't lack getting and having speed at the other schools he's coached at, he knows it matters, it's just not all that matters, apparently it was to Lyle and even then, he didn't get it right

WVU was playing off the ball the entire game with double coverage over the top. They were intent on not letting UT hitting a deep pass.

You mean we need lineman. A good OL and DL wins that game. WR's aren't the issue with this squad

It makes you wonder why we weren't doing that.

I’d rather have legit stud SEC DTs and DEs that are disruptive and consistently get great penetration....it would completely change the effectiveness of our linebackers and DBs.

I’ll take some speed too though.
