Biggest Story Out Of Fall Camp Is

I believe this is the second straight fall camp where the projected starters are banged up coming into camp? Is that just bad luck or they need to change something? Not sure what that would be but it's a big concern that they're not able to practice much with the new QBs...
I hope it is the 2nd straight season of reaching the playoffs

The media/AP poll voters. Could prolly count a few of the board in that count also… 😉🤙🏼🧡
Gotcha........it may be my orange colored glasses, but I'm psyched for the season. I think we're going to have a hell of a defense and run game, much like last season. We simply need QB play that doesn't beat us with big mistakes.

We were so bad in the 12 formation last year, especially vs ARK.
its like teams were licking their chops everytime we lined up in 12

It seems to be 12 formation takes away the strength of this offensive scheme... wide splits and spreading folks out to open up the run game. You bring in 2 TE's now things get more congested. That being said with guys like Davis and Bramme that cna split out it gives a ton of options you can come out in 12 and split a TE out wide thats a legit receiving threat. Then mix in pistol and it gets really interesting, I think I've just talked myself out of hating 12.

What is it with Heupel and not being able to find players that fit his offensive system?
I find it interesting that this is a QB friendly system to put up video game numbers and the only QB to ball out (doesn't sound like Merk is doing well either) was Pruitts guy. Maybe GMac is the change.

Great video on the state of our WR room and great to see Kevin Simon.

I really hope I'm overreacting but the WR room scares the hell out of me. They're talented but they're inexperienced and banged up. We are a couple of injuries away from diaster.

Good thing running the ball and playing great defense still exist.

I get we're potentially dealing with disaster at the WR position but at the end of the day if we're elite running the ball and elite on defense, we can still win every game we play.

There was one line in a practice report I read last week that brought a smile to my face. That line said the other receivers were back doing their tennis ball drill. Years ago Mike Leach used to use the tennis ball gun to shoot tennis balls at the receivers heads at 80 mikes per hour. As I remember his receivers always made their QB look great. If it was close they caught it! I hope these receivers do the same!

There is elite running and just running. If our offense is reduced to Kentucky Wildcat playcalling and just running the ball, heads should roll and the season will be a long one.
You still have to pass to run. Our QBs were just good enough the last 2 seasons to open the defense to being gashed.

I hate to be a pessimist, but I really expect this to be a down year. Too many issues. Team is very young. Defense should be good, but we're too young / too injured at WR. Kind of a transition year at QB - I hope Joey Aguilar is good, but I don't think he's on the level of the top QBs in the SEC. G-Mac shows immense promise, but realistically probably a year or two away (and a full offseason of bulking up!)

I expect a 7-5 type of season. If we go 8-4 or 9-3, I'd be ecstatic.

Halze will hold back the potential of this offense.

Some of tthe studs we have there, this offense should averaging 45 ppg.
But we’ll average 32 ppg with 60-7 blowouts to NM State, ETSU, and UAB that will pad that even!

While averaging 20 ppg against SEC teams.

We’re not too young.

Our offensive philosophy is just extremely “mid”
Or mediocre simple put.
UGA had a freshman All American TE a few years ago. They almost always have a well balanced offense while we continue the boom or bust BS…

I love Heupel but that dude has NEVER beaten UGA.

- We have an enormous deep Oline
- 5 RBs that can play
- Kitz is in year 6 and Davis year 3 at TE while Brame and VDS are stud freshman there.
- we only need to play with two WRs in the formation and Matthews, Smith, and Jackson could play for anyone.

- QB is an issue because Halze can’t coach!!
