These are big ifs but should we win vs GA Sat it puts us in control of the East I feel. We could still lose to Alabama and have a shot again vs Fl later in the season. Should we win Sat I believe we'd be favored every game except for those 2. Regardless, with a win Saturday we will still be talking SEC east championship halfway into the season, quite an accomplishment. A loss Saturday just about eliminates us from winning the East as we'd have to win out and need the pups to lose 2. Going into the Florida game at the end of the season with a chance to make the SEC championship game would put us basically into the playoffs as the SEC winner is going to the playoffs 100% this season. A lot would have to happen but a win Saturday would be the biggest step we could take in order to make it happen.
A loss isn't the end of the world for Pruitt but it'll force us to play nearly perfect the rest of the way if we want to finish 7-3 or better.
For those reasons, I think that as of this date this is the biggest game Pruitt has ever prepared for as a head coach.

Agree. As always the biggest question will be at qb. Uga likely has the best qb in the matchup even though he’s a former walk in with one start. If we lose you’re right...we’ll almost certainly be out of the race as we have that constant cross division rival that been the best team in football for the last decade that neither Florida or uga have to contend with. I so wish we could drop that permanent game. But that’s a conversation for another thread I guess. If we lose and are virtually our if the sece race I so so wish we’d play another qb in the coming weeks. Let maurer and bailey get some valuable experience and see if one of them can lock down the job

I dont expect to win Sat but if we fight our butts off and keep it close I will be more than happy. If we can pull the upset then the rest of the SEC will be on notice that we've turned the corner and that we are legit once again. We are close to being the TN of old. I just think we need a few more horses and we should get them this recruiting cycle. The future is bright orange Nation.

IF Guarantano is shaky early on, I wouldn't hesitate to pull him for either Shrout or Maurer. If this change did not work out you can always go back to Jarrett later. That worked fairly well last year so I wouldn't hesitate to make a change if warranted...

Gonna take a different approach.

The biggest game he has prepared for to date was MSU last year. Without that win theres a good chance he loses that team before they can finish the season on a streak which included a bowl appearance and win. And he's still trying to convince everyone inside and outside of the program to trust him.

This is the first big game he has prepped for where he doesn't have weaknesses across the board hes trying to cover. UGA has more talent and depth but its no so much they have to lay an egg to lose.

I think they re sticking with JG until he hits a wall. If he has a stretch like the start of last year at some point I dont think they will hesitate. IF that were to happen I think they move on and find their next QB.

I've said before that what I want this year is to clearly win the games we should (USC, Mizzou, UK, Vandy, Arkansas) win one of the two we might (AU, aTm) and stay competitive and engaged in UF, Bama, and uga.

Saturday is huge to see if we can line up and hit uga hard for 60 minutes. I believe they will win by a comfortable margin, but they need to leave the field knowing they were in a game.

1-2 more recruiting classes, and I want to start winning our share of the UF, Bama, and uga games.

I'll take our QB any day, just stop the negative

I'd be happy if we can just extend our winning streak to 19 games!

If we do then everything else will sort itself out.

Hehe, I'd be happy to go 1-0 this week!! They don't have much experienced depth on the offensive side, if we can stop the run, make them one dimensional I think we can turn them over and make a game of it. If we can't stop their running game it's going to be tough sledding. I predicted last week that whoever finishes with the most yards rushing between us and the pups would win, I'm holding to it, provided we're not the ones that are turning it over.

Georgia Defense is one of the top 1 or 2 in the Country, we don't have the QB to beat a elite defense, or have a elite QB to beat a elite defense, of course with right amount of turnovers and win the special teams, we could pull out a Victory, but in the end the Dawgs will win pull away in the second half like 27-13, hope i am wrong but we are still 1 year away from beating a team like the Dawgs, we just dont have enough offense to beat them, they can rotate 8 d-lineman in and out and that will win the game for them.

We can work 9 guys on the OLine and their DL guys are not that big size wise. I think we can lean on them the whole game and if we hit a couple shots down the field or break a long run we could do it.
