Biggest game in Vandy history?

Not being a historian of Vandy FB but my memory goes back to the mid 60s, this is clearly the biggest game since then for them.

I agree. The largest win, in my lifetime, for them, has to be the Bama win for them last year. (If) they were to win against us tomorrow, that would most likely top that.

Easily for what it means for their season. I’m not sure if they have ever won 10 games, definitely not in the regular season. Throw in an outside shot at playoffs, huge game for Vandy. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for them though.

This is certainly the biggest for
them that I can recall ( back to late 60’s). And for UT the biggest motivator against them I can recall in a long time. Everything for them to lose, everything for the Vols to deny them. Would love for Coach Cafego to see this one.

I agree, the Bama game caught everyone off guard last year and put the Dores in the national spotlight. This year they have played well again. They've beaten us a few times recently, but the win over Bama was their first in 50 something years. This years game with us is huge because of all the trappings that are up for grabs... playoffs for them, totally ruining our season, plus the bragging rights. I hope we hang fitty on 'em....

Huge game for them. Other than rivalry bragging rights, not near as much as stake for UT. Hope they're so tight you cant pull a needle out of their a$$ with a tractor.

When your program sucks so bad that opposing teams fire their coach when they lose to you, that is Vandy Football.

It's their biggest game ever I'd argue. They have never had a 10 win season and their last 9 win season happened in 1915. A win gets Pavia an invite to New York and maybe a playoff spot.

It's going to be fun crushing little sisters dreams tomorrow.

IIRC candy beat the gumps in 84 so first time in 40 yrs... I was listening to the gump call on the radio driving back to Middle TN from nola and the gump radio network ended the broadcast before the end of the game... it was really bizzare.
