This felt like the biggest comeback I can remember. But just last year we were down by 21 (24-3) to UGA shortly before the half, but then scored two quick TDs to bring it to a more manageable 17-24 going into half-time.

A quick internet search shows the Vols have come back from 21 pt deficits before - to LSU I think in about 05 and to (gasp!) UK about 15 yrs ago (2001!).

But the biggest I think was the Miracle at South Bend - a 24 pt deficit comeback back in 91.

Any bigger comebacks that anyone knows of? I know there are some bigger Vol experts on here than me. Just curious if the Miracle at South Bend is the biggest ever.

But coming from 21 pts down to break the streak still feels a little bigger to me.

The streak is dead. Long live the (new) streak!

This felt like a bigger comeback since we had to go out there and grind it out and didn't do it with big splash special teams plays. Also, it's been 45 years since we've scored 30+ unanswered points on UF. We didn't make a comeback and win by a point or a FG, we took over and kept going.

Next time we are down and things aren't going our way, Volnation needs to remember this game. We looked as bad as we possibly could have against Appy St. and Ohio, then the same in the first half against UF, but the 2nd half was like flipping a switch. We now know that this team can turn it on in an instant. Anything can happen in college football, and we proved it yesterday.

We were down 28-3 to Vandy at home in the 80s (1987). Won 38-36 I believe.

I was at the 1990 Florida game. Tennessee lead 7-3 at the half. They won 45-3 so they scored 38 straight on them.
