Since I live in Big Ten Country, I was watching a little bit of the Big Ten network this morning. Some analyst I have never heard of, stated:

"Minessota Coach Tim Brewster doesnt know where these rumors about himself and the Tennessee job...he said he is just focusing on his Golden Gopher team." The analyst went on to say that there have been talks that Tennessee is interested in Brewster, and that the Tennessee job is a "powerhouse job" that doesnt come around very often.

This isnt breaking news, just another example of how the national media views the Tennessee job, an awesome one.

Not sure what all the love is for Brewster. I have seen nothing that gets me the least bit excited about him. There has to be at least 20 or more better candidates to consider, IMO. Maybe I need to read up on him more.

Brewster is a pretty good coach. He'll be good for Minnesota.

He fits the mold as a recruiter. The next coach will have success if he is a great recruiter.

terrible terrible terrible idea. I mean are we really actually entertaining the idea of getting a Big 10 coach? I mean really.

He'll win games where ever he goes.

Are you sure ? SEC is a different animal than the Big Ten. I would like to see a little more out of him to prove he's just not a flash in the pan. But he has made quite the turnaround in Minnesota.

Remember Fulmer just got fired and he was a great recruiter. Not saying i'm against Kiffen being coach but it does have a little more to do than just recruiting.

Look at his career and what he's done. He took a no-named basketball player and made him an All-Pro NFL tight end.

I'm not vouching for him to come coach here, but Tennessee could do worse than Brewster.

My sources say he has atleast one big admirer on The Hill.

Hamilton is not dumb. He will not risk his career by hiring an unproven coach. Not a chance. Especially one that can't even beat Northwestern.

Guys, Brewster is probably the top 2 or 3 recruiters in the country right now. Not only that, he can get it done with x's and o's. Just ask guys like Shannahan and Shottenheimer how good this guy is. Oh, and don't forget he's the reason Chris Simms switched his commitment from Tennessee to Texas. Do some research!

Some of you are ridiculous. Brewster has been excellent. Do I want him? No its too risky.

But I guess some of you don't freakin' realize how bad a shape Minnesota has been in recently. They were flat out pathetic.

Nick Saban lost to ULM his first year with a LOT better players. Brewster is an excellent recruiter but hasn't had the time to get talent in there yet and is still winning proving he's not only a good recruiter, but a good coach.

But like I said - I don't want him there are better options available.

I guess Gates was used during Bama's search for a new head coach?

I'm sorry I just didn't realize AD's were lining up at Gates' door to ask his feelings on their potential hires.
