big splash or little ripple ?

I have my apprehensions about Kiffin like yourself...although I will say I'm alot more excited than usual about what the near future might hold for us...

It got to a point with Fulmer where the best I expected was 8-10 wins with a chance to surprise the teams that are truly on top and maybe sneak in to the SECCG(kind of like 2007)...

I know there are teams that would love the chance to do that...especially in the SEC...but at UT that's just not good enough...

With Kiffin I feel(or maybe just hope) that he will do the things that Fulmer was either incapable of doing or unwilling to admit he needed to change how he was doing (i.e. X's and O's, talent development, discipline)...

I agree with your point of view to an extent...there are some who are giving Kiffin credit for things that he hasn't actually done yet....

But your point of view is as unreasonably pessimistic as theirs is opitimistic....

Kiffin has done as well as can be expected in recruiting so far...and that's really the only thing we have to go on....so why don't you cut him some slack for the time being

yeah its a digg and well deserved,300 + rushing yards given up w/ the division on the line ? havent we already seen enough of this around here.
Anybody can have an off day. It's not something that happens very often with a Kiffin defense.
love monte, hofer no doubt.but please explain the motivation to come to the vols and give his all.

He has nothing left to prove. He wants to work with his son. I really don't see why this is a problem or hard to understand.
is he going to be sitting in recruits home talking w/ moms and dads (no) not gonna happen!

Why not? Many top defensive players would WANT to come play for him on name alone. Learn from a legend. Again, I don't see why this is hard to understand.

and dont give me the crap that chavis didnt as well (hes gone) good.thats why we have no d-line

i prefer a hungry dc beatiing down the doors of the best in the nation, end of story!

I don't know what Chavis did or didn't do in the recruiting process. And what makes you think that Monte Kiffin isn't hungry? Like I said, he may just have the best recruits beating down his door.

ive tried twice to let it die,it refuses to go away :)

Oh my, you're back! Let it go, posi, let it go. You don't have to bow down and surrender, just don't respond. I will have to say this, I do see Blamie's point and somewhat agree. Ok, that's it now, for real. Shake hands, group hug, and all that, let's move on.
