Along those lines I have seen on twitter committed guys open their recruitment back up.It will be interesting to see how many are willing to sit and wait their turn. The problem with being a top 5 team consistently is that guys that normally could help you out now can't. If you look at rosters of top teams, you will see that they have fewer local kids especially in the old and future school of smaller rosters. It is harder for a good kid to get a chance when you are actively recruiting great kids. It gets harder also because you have to decide to save a spot for a top kid and see if he gets drafted and if he doesn't you have to let someone go that was recruited also. I know some will jump on this but that is reality and part of the sport of being a top team year in and year out. It makes coaching a lot harder the smaller the roster gets. After you have invested time in getting to know the player and their family, it is hard to let them go.

I think that was a joke. It wasn't like that when I was recruited to play at MTSU.I was watching a Volquest mailbag edition once and a poster wanted to know what the basketball recruits do on their visits and either Brent Hubbs or Grant Ramey said that they play pickup basketball at Pratt Pavilion.
