I remember about 5-6 years ago, there was a welcome back BBQ in August before the season. It was an amazing thing, Fulmer and Coaching staff would give speeches, introduce the roster and some of the accolades. The entire team would autograph for everyone for nearly 2 hours.

Anyone know if this still an Annual event and if so what day usually in August? ( I believe it was August 15th or so )

I think they stopped it after Ainge injured his pinky signing autographs around that time 4-5 years ago.

I just don't understand why the UT Football program after putting us through the last season, and in reality the last few years of ups and downs...give us something to look forward to. Let some of the regional fans or fans around the country come in and get some info of Coack Kiffin. I can't show up for recruiting basketball games.

Would like to shake the hands of just the coaches and get to meet them.

If you read this, maybe you can help out Coach Hamilton

Yes they are still doing it. My dad drove up from Georgia last year to attend. I think you can call the alumni association and find out the date but they usually don't know till about June what the exact date will be. If I hear any news I will post it here.

I went to that every year when I was growing up as a kid. I have a lot of great memories and autographs from it. LOL, I remember being like 5 or 6 and getting autographs in my Riddel UT helmet that was way too big.
It's a shame if they ended it as it was a great way for the program to interact with the fans.

No that's not it. It was stopped because A. Foster dropped a large plate of BBQ on a couple of major donors expensive shoes.
