How come Dooley didn't get any commitments until summer over the past 3 years? Did we not hear the constant refrain "it's how you finish that counts"? Am I the only one that noticed this?

Unfortunately... it is still how you finish. It is better to get the commit than not but it is still a LONG way from NSD. As we get into the later days, teams who have failed to get other recruits will take another shot at the guys who are committing to UT now. Again, better to have them "in the fold" than not... but NOTHING is certain in recruiting until ink is on the LOI.
