That will open the door for SEC and ACC we will have football this fall imo

Good news because the Big 12 is kind of the tipping point. If they were to cancel then it puts a LOT more pressure on ACC/SEC which may or may not matter. There's also still a few G5 conferences still planning on playing as AAC, CUSA and Sunbelt have all come out publicly said they plan to play. So that's 6 conferences, 3 P5 and 3 G5. That can still be a great, SAFE, college football season.

Why would these other conferences be"putting pressure" on the SEC to not play. I feel the other way around, WE would put the pressure on them for not playing. AND if we have to opt out later, then we can say "we tried" and as if it would matter, they could say "we told you so". I say nothing ventured nothing gained - forget'um.

I said it may or may not matter. But with one more P5 canceling it would move the SEC/ACC to the minority instead of the majority and with that comes more media attention on you for playing. Three P5 playing FEELS a lot better than 3 NOT playing.

Who cares about the minority/majority status for playing football. The ones not playing are sheep to the media hype and politicians who want everything to close for political gain.

MLB baseball has proven athletes who get infected are playing 2 to 3 weeks later. No fatalities and no obvious ongoing problems-just like the flu. Plus, a very small number in MLB actually are getting infected. Implement protective protocols for players, coaching staffs and fans plus protect the vulnerable elderly and people with health problems and we can get back to life. The players want to play because they know the risk to permanent health problems to them is miniscule. It is time to play sports again. We can do this despite what the self appointed nannies, media and politicians say.

The schedule is out. Two things...

  1. This appears to pertain only to conference games with no mention of the Big XII one-game OOC deals. I do not know if those will still occur, especially with Kansas having a game scheduled in sixteen days, but I suppose it's still possible they'd go through with that.
  2. I do not like the caveat that they have already stated that moving the season back two weeks to begin on October 10th is a possibility.
