OK, despite Texas's comeback win last night, i think what we've learned so far, is that the Big 12 South's lack of defense wasn't over blown at all.

i was wrong. in three games played, each offense jugernaut was held in check if not soundly defeated. Even in a win last night, Texas was denied the big play and the points they are used to scoring. they couldn't run the ball and Texas's offensive line got pushed around much of the night.

credit the off coaches and mack brown for the no huddle hurry up that really wore out OSU's Defense.

as for last night, i thought Ohio State came out and played the 1st half exactly how they had to to win the game. Running game was dominant, and they held Texas out of the end zone, stopped Texas's running game and dominated the TOP.

just as impressive, if not more so were the adjustments TExas made at the half. Mack Brown, will Muschamp and co. out coached Tressel at half time.

it was a great game that didn't mean a damn thing.

congrats to Texas........i guess.

Good post jake. You left out that Tebow would be the fourth best QB in the conference.

Where you see the best coaching is usually around the start of the 4th quarter. It's the re-adjustment to your opponents adjustments that win it or lose it for you in the 4th quarter provided all your players are executing. Tressel was outcoached in the 2nd half, it was obvious.

i didn't think they stunk, but i didn't mistake them for FL or USC or even UTAH......either.

i thought in the first half OSU played at a very high level, and in the 2nd half Texas played at a very high level.

as for the comment about Tebow Hohen.........dumbest thing that kid could have said. i hate the gators and tebow, but no one can deny the competitiveness of that kid. he wills that team to win. they will play their butts off thursday night, and i know OK hasn't seen anything like that in the Big 12.

yep.....they had no answer defensively for that no huddle. that was a great adjustment by Texas.

i was not impressed with ohio state's offense. they should have scored at will. pryor can't throw worth anything. SC would have beat either of these teams by 3 TDs.

i agree. Pryor's arm will get better, but that was the detriment for them. plus i think Beanie Wells didn't play much in the 2nd half......he was a beast in the 1st half. TX had no answer.

It looked to me that TX D stayed in their lanes in the 2nd half. The first half they were shredded pork.
