"I would really like to see if there's an opportunity for our conference to put all those jersey patch rights together and, all of a sudden, they're worth a whole lot more to the institutions when 18 are playing instead of just one."

"The private capital company would get money back through the new entity through annual distribution in proportion to its financial stake. The Big Ten will essentially have 20 equity shares, comprising the 18 schools, the league and this investor."

LOL. Just LOL. Like cokeheads who've discovered crack and are out to get just one more big score, because that'll surely be the last one and then they'll get sober.

Initial payment to be 9 figures, that’s $100 million. The “Pros” have caps, rules, a draft. Colleges have none of that, with no end in sight. Maybe there will eventually be a Super Super Bowl, with top college “Pro” team against top non college “Pro” team. Insane.

Have all of the NCAA teams not already agreed to how much money the players can make starting in 2026? None of this additional revenue will go to the players, who would wear the advertisements.

Big18 trying to be innovative and failing miserably per usual. Still loathe that Slive bent to accommodate them with the 9 game league schedule.

Getting the Saudis involved in college football might be the dumbest idea I've heard.

Pretty sure Tony Petitti would sell his own daughters to make a buck. Just no shame man.

....until they unionize and file a class-action lawsuit.
The powers in charge seem hellbent on steering everyone that way. They can’t really box the players in to accepting a limited amount until they can force them into that union scam.

I suspect another federal court ruling would be in the best interest of the athletes, but the Big 10 is going to keep finding ways to get ahead of the other conferences as long as they have a corporate shill running the show.

I think when sports fans talk about private equity they might be forgetting that investing is not the same thing as just giving people your money.

These colleges and players get all their money by people just giving it to them. That's what they're used to. Once they get somebody involved with mental capacity of a 4th grader, they'll realize they don't want to give anybody any money, ever.
