In the other topic they said we could likely be in the Music City which is BS.

It's all specualtion at this point.. I don't see us going to the Music City at 7-5 though..

Even though S.Car, Aub and UK are 7-5.. We beat two of those three..

Chris Lowe just reported on 104.5 here in Nashville, that his "sources" are telling him that Outback wants Kentucky.

I imagine because they are known to travel REALLY well...as they only visit bowl games a few times every century.

Well IMO the Outback Bowl and Chik-fil-a Bowl are about the same, other than the $1/2 Mil difference in payout. Both would be good for recruiting. I think we would match up great with ANY ACC team and it would probably be a more interesting match up than us against any Big10 team (other than OSU or Penn St. - which doesn't look possible). The Chik-fil-a Bowl is on at 7pm on New Year's Eve and watching us dominate to bring in the New Year would be pretty sweet, especially in ATL. The Outback is on at 11am on New Year's Day..

Either way, We're Bowlin'.... So I'm happy!

Kentucky going to the Outback bowl is just laughable. There is nothing appealing about their program.

Why the heck would the outback want kentucky?

As much as I disagree with them getting a better bowl than us I can understand the Outback wanting them. We all know these selections are strictly predicated on money and not matchups or fairness. Not counting the Liberty Bowl last year (played Jan 2) the last New Year's bowl UK went to was the Outback in 99. This would be like the NC game for them and their fans will respond in droves, whereas we may not due to the fact that we've been there the last 2 times. Sure their fans are ignorant, delusional, etc. and I have to deal with them on a daily basis, but I can assure you they are extremely loyal and if rewarded with an Outback bid they will in turn reward the Outback committee.

Kentucky does have a lot of speed, more than us actually, and they would completely exploit any Big 10 team's lack of speed, which everyone already knows.

Are you telling me that Kentucky would out-travel us? That is also insane. Completely absurd.

+1

And just bringing Monte Kiffin back to Tampa would be enough for them to sell out the game. Those poor Tampa fans haven't been the same since he left.
