On the one hand, Caddyshack has Bill Murray. And the Rodney Dangerfield character is awesome. Lacy Underall, yummy. And it made golf funny.

On the other, Fletch has some great lines: "Put it on the Underhills." "Give each other $20." "Doctor Rosen Rosen."

Close.

Rodney Dangerfield + good gratuitous nudity gives Caddyshack a slight edge, but I love the one liners in Fletch.

Caddyshack....but am I the only one who wants to club Rodney Dangerfield when he starts blasting Journey then dances on the gold course? It shouldn't annoy me but RAT FARTS it does!

Caddyshack.

Dangerfield, Chevy, Knight, Murray. Is there a better comedy trio from that era than this?

Caddyshack over Fletch, but not by much. Call it blasphemy, but I enjoy Fletch Lives more than the original. I put it as equal to Caddyshack.

Caddyshack despite the fact idiots will yell "It's in the hole!!" as if they are the first ones to ever think of it.

Caddyshack gets the edge because it's about golf.

Fletch has some awesome lines though.

Fletch: I saw Alan this morning and you know what I can't figure out?
Gail Stanwyck: Alan's in Utah.
Fletch: I... can't figure out what I was doing in Utah this morning.
