Agreed, our stats actually dropped a bit as opppsed to Chavis last seasons numbers

I think howie is suffering from watching the sunseri and shoop defenses and somehow thinks monte did something special. Orgeron was a great dline coach and great recruiter on that staff.

It's hard to say really. But this staff looks good right now.

We complained about Zach, but the NFL took him, we complained about Janceck, but the NFL took him too. We complained about S&C and got one from the NFL. Nothing changed there, but maybe more time we needed. Most of butches coaches were successful. But he seemed to ruin everything he touched. Like star ratings, we'll have to wait and see the result on the field

No one complained about S&C coach Dave Lawson until Butch decided to deep six him. The back story behind that says everything there is to say about Butch Jones. It's been fascinating to be a rabid Tennessee fan and a friend of Dave Lawson's brother.

How does the staff compare so far to others we’ve had? Better than Butch's? Kiffin’s? Fulmer’s? How do we compare with other current SEC staffs?

Kiffin's staff was lethal.
When you look at what they did with that O-line and Crompton it was amazing.

The defense was basically Eric Berry and some other guys, yet they were a field goal from beating Bama in Tuscalooser.

I believe Phil is supporting Pruitt all out with the salary pool and Fulmer will be a better boss particularly in a rebuilding mode than Hart or Currie for sure. Butch was hamstrung at times and may have overpaid for Shoop who just had no luck or results with the Vols.

Impressed with Pruitt. He had his guys ready and in reserve and they answered the call.

I believe Fulmer said that during the interview he was most impressed with Coach Pruitt's plan including proposed staff. From my years of experience managing programs and projects,having a vision, plan, and staff are HUGE. Players are the life Blood of a successful team. Coach Pruitt's comments regarding the players is also HUGE! Then comes the execution of the plan, schemes, strength and conditioning, mentoring, and just plain old coaching. I'm optimistic. Agree with pulling it all together and all fans in. I expect a huge turnout and support for the spring game and at the games in the fall.
