783594CE-A2DE-4967-9AC3-6B0823AC1290.jpegWe had some really nice plays all game but this one stood out. 4th and 2 and we could’ve punted to put them deep but instead Heupel lined up like we were running the option and instead it was inverted to be a shovel pass to Fant. Led to a FG. This was some big brain Andy Reid style play here.

agreed...and don't think that those 2 Option Plays against Akron, using Sampson were NOT the "Set-Up" for THIS play...BRILLIANT!

Me and my buddy watching it were like oh man here comes the option and then bam shovel pass to the max protect TE. Absolute thing of beauty. I feel spoiled having an innovative offense for once.

The “Utah Pass” , was a great call. Didn’t we run it twice, or perhaps I recalling another game this year, but thought we ran it on fourth and short near the goal line once (yesterday or this season ?). Enjoy each and every game. This is fun again.

I think the deep ball to Hyatt right after the 4th down stop, at least to me it was, I kept yelling go deep on first down, dagger to the heart, lol, when they did it I nearly flipped out of my chair. It's amazing how many big plays they connect on and honestly how many more they miss that would have been scores, if they ever have a game with no drops or overthrows or fumbles it will be downright scary.

That call has killed us going the other way over the years.
How many times have we had our backs broken by a shovel pass or jump pass the last 13-14 years?
Good to be the better team again.

I said after that forth down stop this is time to break LSU and the crowd mentally and another field goal in that moment wouldn’t have done it. As soon as hook dropped back looking way down field, and cocked that arm back I yelled hear we go, because I knew at that moment it was over for LSU. That was the play for me.

Amen Brother !!! I still have nightmares about our offense under both “Botch” and “Conehead” when JG was our QB and every series was 2 runs up the middle for no gain and then an overthrown deep ball followed by the inevitable punt. Just getting 2 or 3 consecutive first downs or scoring more than 17 points was an achievement not that long ago. I’m so appreciative and thankful for CJH and the new athletic department administration. GBO !!!

Agreed. Fantastic wrinkle and LSU bit hard outside.
