Anyone have any great spots, with bathrooms near by, decent cost to park, etc., with a reasonable walk to the stadium?

Calhoun's, $20 (the last I remember) for a parking spot. Have to get there early on a big game day.

Fraternity row(Fiji Island) and up by the rock is very fun too! Parking is free and you can use the restrooms at some friendly fraternity houses...(just pretend to be an alum)!!!

Definitely go for Lake or White avenue, its free and there are lot of trees around for shade, which is always nice for tailgating. Better get there early though.

Someone told me a few weeks ago that the cops are out big this year to write tickets for open containers on gameday and any parking near a street will get a ticket if you are seen with an open container! Is this true?

I've heard the same thing. If true there going to have writers cramp by the end of every game.

Wheres the best place to park for those of us coming from out of town these days? Not going to be tailgating, just bringing the 6 month preg. wife.

Visiting fan here - will be down for the Ohio game, and was wondering about tailgating lots, as well. I'd like to find a good spot to take in the experience, but not get killed at the same time!

get here early, and park somewhere off white or lake.. there's really not a dangerous place to park on either side of cumberland... I would say that the deeper you go into Ft. Sanders (e.g. back on Forest or Grand Ave) the dicier it gets late at night...

I should clarify my comment - I wasn't worried about actual safety, but just where I could tailgate as a visiting fan with causing too much trouble. I've been to Morgantown, for instance, and there were certain places you didn't tailgate if you were wearing visiting colors.
