Best Offense We've Ever Had?

1993 was the best. It scored like we do now with Phil being conservative and more of the old school defensive mentality being in place. It was loaded with talent.

This very well might be the best one yet. Definitely top 3 statistically. We could’ve easily scored close to 50 today if not for the fumble in the red zone and having to settle for a FG on the other drive. The most we have ever scored on them was 45 points. When was the last time we had an offense capable of naming our score on a Florida defense? The early-mid 90s?

Best in a loooong time for sure. And you can make an argument for the absolute best. If we can consistently score on Bama and UGA, then I will put them in that position

This isn't even a question imo. Our offense is so good it changes the way other teams call there offense. Opposing coaches are in desperation mode before the O even touches the field.

I don't think 98 should make the top 10.

The 1998 team scored when they needed to. Tee Martin, Peerless Price, Shawn Bryson, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, Travis Stevens, and Cedrick Wilson are a few I remember. They were pretty great.

I think its the best offensive coaching I have seen at UT. Their game plan is always solid and has the opposing coach on his heels, wide receivers are running wide open. They are the best I have seen at using the run threat to open up the lanes downtown and DB's are bumping into each other. If they ever get a defense look out. Kind of reminds me of Dooley's last year, offense scored 40 defense gave up 50. This defense is much much better than that defense!

Probably has to go to the 97 Vols. Manning was an elite QB, Lewis was an elite RB, the offensive line was fantastic and really good receiving corp with the trio of Nash, Copeland and Price.

97's run game being so much better has to give it the edge I think.
