I have a general philosophy when attending road games (which may or may not be helpful in this situation). If it's a big game, make sure it's early so no matter what you believe you team can/will win. Otherwise pick a good name team who you think is overrated. If you have only one game to go to, make sure it's a likely victory. There's nothing worse than the pregame "we suck and wont win" booze fest.
something told me you had a lot of experience with that........:cray:
are their any near the stadium? The only "bar" within sight of the stadium we saw was the one I mentioned.
You were on the wrong side of the stadium. The strip is on the other side of campus from the river, and there are a bunch of bars there, and by no coincidence a sea of orange before and after games.
Just going from the strip to the stadium is prolly only about 5-10 minutes, but yeah, from the river to the strip to the stadium is a lot of walking.
It might be awhile. UCLA is the next West Coast team UT plays.
UCLA sucks. Still can't figure out how they beat the Southern California prophylactics...Just hope dorrell is still the coach. Cal has massively outrecruited and certainly outcoached UCLA 5 years straight despite the fact our facilities are 60 years old, the majority of the recruits in the state live within miles of the UCLA campus, and our tradition isn't as good.
Every time I drive from Atlanta without tickets, I just tape a "need tickets" sign with my cell phone number on the back window. I've never gotten to the stadium without tickets and most always at face from other Vol fans with extras. Vol fans are the best!oh, i know i could get tickets......i just can't afford to pay $100+ a piece for 'em multiple times a year...
give me face value, and i'll see you at the tailgate!
